About Us
The Good Neuron is a passion project created by Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Owner of The Good Neuron and Be Think Grow LLC, Hannah Salazar.
Hannah launched a blog, Be Think Grow, back in 2020 right before COVID hit and the world shut down. As a brand new counselor she quickly saw the increase for more counselors and for more conversations regarding mental health. She also saw the barrage of misinformation and falsehoods about mental health on social media. She wanted to change that. Hannah launched Be Think Grow on Instagram as a safe place for fun and to receive accurate mental health information. Fast forward a couple years after Hannah passed her licensure exam and became licensed as a LMHC, she begin to tutor and mentor new counselors preparing for their exam. With a passion for helping others succeed in the field (and being a former teacher), Hannah found that helping new counselors across the nation was an area that needed more attention. For the past three years she has created and helped hundreds of new counselors pass their exam and move onto independent licensure in their state. The study guides you find on the website are from the past few years tutoring and are updated regularly.
In conjunction with the study guides, you'll also find mental health merchandise designed by Hannah for the purpose to elicit conversations with others so that someone may say "you too?" With every purchase a portion of profits are donated to mental health organizations. These organizations are vetted with the goal that they're providing access to care for mental health services to those that need it the most.
