Values Quest is a simple, beautifully designed card game that helps players surface their core values, spark honest conversations, and guide intentional decision-making. The deck contains 51 thoughtfully chosen value prompts plus one “Create Your Own” card so you can add personal priorities. Play alone for deep reflection, pair up for meaningful conversations, or use it in groups, classrooms, or counseling sessions to build insight and connection. This game is based off Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, ACT.

Designed for busy people who want clarity (and for helping professionals who want a compact, actionable tool), Values Quest blends quick sorting with deeper reflection prompts so the whole session can fit into a coffee break or a workshop. No prior training required, just shuffle, sort, and reflect.

What’s included:

  • 52 index-card style value cards (51 prefilled value prompts + 1 blank “Create Your Own” card)

  • Printable game board sheet (2 game boards included for group/class use)

  • Quick-start instructions: a 4-step play guide (Initial Sort → Reflection & Refinement → Prioritization → Group Discussion)

  • Optional discussion/reflection questions sheet

  • This is a digital product sent you as a PDF after purchase. For questions please email info@thegoodneuron.com

How to play:

  1. Shuffle and draw a card. Sort each card into one of three piles (Most Like Me / Neutral / Least Like Me), taking no more than ~30 seconds per card to capture your immediate response.

  2. Review and refine: you may move a few cards as you reflect.

  3. Prioritize the “Most Like Me” pile into your top 3 (or top 5 for richer discussion).

  4. Use the reflection questions to turn insight into action: how do these values line up with daily life? What small first step supports your top value?

Who it’s for?

  • Individuals wanting clarity about priorities and life choices

  • Couples and families who want values-based conversations

  • Therapists, counselors, coaches, and educators (compact tool for sessions and group work, ACT based).

  • Teams doing values alignment or icebreaker activities
